Hello, I'm Beth.
Thank you for visiting my website.
Realising that you want or need counselling is a different experience for everyone. There is a chance that you feel nervous about choosing the right counsellor or about what it will be like. Perhaps you feel confused about the different types of counselling that are available. For some people it can be a relief to reach this point and they can’t wait to get started. Whatever it is like for you I think that it’s important to acknowledge that you are taking an important and intentional step for your wellbeing, and it isn’t necessarily easy. I think it is important to give yourself some credit for that.
Hopefully I can help by giving you some information about how I work so that you can decide if my therapy could be a good match for you.
My main focus is that I am committed to helping women get their lives back after trauma or other adverse experiences. I am passionate about helping women learn to heal themselves as well as helping them discover what they want for themselves, rather than what society or others have told them that they want or need. If you would like more information about my counselling process, please click here.

I also work with anyone who has experienced or is experiencing trauma, adversity, bullying or stress in the workplace as well as supporting people when they would like to find a new career.
My ethos is that if we are all supported to figure out who we are and what we really want from life and feel able to express our feelings, needs and wants, the world will be a better place. If we can live authentically our mental health will improve greatly and it means that we can contribute to our communities and to the world in a helpful and positive way. Unfortunately, not everyone had the upbringing to support them to do this or perhaps you did but then issues relating to relationships, work, health, or other areas have meant you have strayed from who you truly are. This is where I come in. I believe everyone has the right to freedom and autonomy in their life and I help people work towards this.
I work with individuals over the age of 18 and I offer online and face to face counselling (in Oxford, OX3).

I am a qualified counsellor, accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I follow their ethical framework.
